Green Impact week - 2021
Zero Pollution for Healthier People and Planet
In 2021, Sustainary proudly launched the first edition of Green Impact Week Denmark as part of the EU Green Week, under the theme Zero Pollution for Healthier People and Planet. As the official EU Green Week ambassador in Denmark, Sustainary brought together startups, students, professionals, and policymakers for a week of dialogue and action around reducing pollution in our cities, industries, and everyday lives.
Funded by the European Union and Københavns Kommune, the 2021 edition emphasized the importance of clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, and circular economy practices as core drivers of a pollution-free future.
Events highlighted Denmark’s role in leading the green transition, while interactive sessions focused on how innovation and entrepreneurship can help achieve the goals of the EU Zero Pollution Action Plan. The week served as a space for knowledge-sharing and collaboration, turning ideas into tangible steps toward a healthier planet.
One of the standout parts of the program was the BRAVE! Crowdfunding Accelerator, created especially for international or non-Danish entrepreneurs with purpose-driven startups. Through hands-on workshops and support from partners like COOP Crowdfunding, participants learned how to tell their story, connect with their audience, and run successful crowdfunding campaigns.
To join, startups needed to be based in Denmark, be market-ready, and have at least half of their founding team come from minority backgrounds. The program gave young founders the tools to boost their visibility, attract funding, and take their ideas to the next level.
