SMV Grøn and Grønne Kompetencer were national co-financing programs designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in accelerating their green transition.

As an implementation partner, Sustainary worked closely with participating companies to help them apply for and make the most of available vouchers—covering areas such as environmental certifications, product redesign, circular business models, and the testing of new sustainable technologies.

These programs were an important part of Denmark’s broader push toward a greener and more resource-efficient economy.

Under SMV:grøn, Sustainary supported companies in developing detailed “green plans” and accessing investment and counseling vouchers tailored to their sustainability goals. Through Grønne Kompetencer, we facilitated customized upskilling and training initiatives for both employees and management, helping organizations build the competencies needed for long-term green transformation.

Together, these programs enabled Danish SMEs to take practical, measurable steps toward sustainability while strengthening their competitiveness in a changing market landscape.
