Spending your summer in Copenhagen? Join us at Greencubator in Nørrebro for Upcycle Your Summer, a three-part workshop series focused on upcycling, practical skills, and community.

Organised by Sustainary, these Saturday workshops are designed for young people who want to live more sustainably and connect with others doing the same. Each session explores a different part of everyday life – clothing, food, and transport – and offers simple, creative ways to reduce waste and make more conscious choices.

Alongside learning how to fix a bike or cook resourcefully, the series also creates space for conversation, connection, and shared ideas. Summer in the city can sometimes feel a bit quiet or isolating, so we’re turning it into a time for learning something new and building community.

Workshop Overview:

Re-Fuel – Cooking with Food Waste

Get practical in the kitchen and find new ways to use ingredients that often go to waste, like stale bread, stems, or peels. We’ll cook together, share tips, and talk about food habits, composting, and sustainable shopping.

Re-Ride – Bike Repair Basics

Bring your bike (if you have one) and learn how to patch a flat, check your brakes, and do basic maintenance. We’ll also talk about cycling’s role in building greener cities, and how keeping your bike in shape supports that.

Re-Fashion – Upcycling Your Wardrobe

Learn how to give your clothes a second life using sewing and no-sew methods. Whether you’re mending, resizing, or getting creative, this session is all about extending the life of what you already own. Bring an item or two to work on during the session.

When: Saturdays in July & August

Who: Young people aged 18–30

Cost: Free! Bring one or two items and yourself to the events.

This is a chance to do something meaningful with your summer, learn a few new skills, meet good people, and take climate action into your own hands.
