DebateLab: How Structure Can Help You Lose the Fear of Pitching Out Loud
The third DebateLab workshop — build strong arguments, communicate them clearly, and pitch with confidence using practical frameworks.

What to expect
Many young people have opinions they would like to share in public spaces but lack the confidence or practical skills to do so. DebateLab responds to this challenge by supporting young people in finding their voice and using it.
In the third workshop of the DebateLab series, we will focus on how to build strong arguments, communicate them clearly, and engage in discussions with confidence. You will be introduced to practical frameworks for structuring arguments — claim, evidence, reasoning, and rebuttal — while learning how to apply them in a clear and convincing way. The workshop also explores how to respond to opposing views and keep discussions constructive.
Through hands-on exercises, short debates, and pitch-style activities, you will practise turning your ideas into clear messages that others can understand and engage with. By participating, you gain tools to organise your thinking, argue your point more effectively, and speak with greater clarity in presentations, exams, and group discussions.
