Purpose: 
From the Nordics to Global Climate Action aimed to introduce international and exchange students to the Nordic approach to sustainability and climate leadership. The project created opportunities for participants to explore Denmark’s climate initiatives while connecting with peers, professionals, and organizations working within the sustainability field.

Organized by Sustainary in collaboration with CBS Climate Club, and supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies and Københavns Kommune, the event aimed to inspire students to engage with climate action and explore future career paths in sustainability.

Project Description: 
From the Nordics to Global Climate Action was a two-day event held in November 2024 at Station and Copenhagen Business School. Designed especially for exchange and international students, the event provided a practical introduction to Denmark’s sustainability practices and the broader Nordic climate leadership model.

Through hands-on workshops, real-world case studies, and collaborative team challenges, participants worked together to develop innovative ideas addressing environmental issues. The program encouraged active participation, creative problem-solving, and cross-cultural collaboration.

On the second day, participants presented their solutions and took part in engaging panel discussions on sustainability in Denmark. The event concluded with a shared dinner and networking session, creating space for informal conversations and connections within the sustainability community.

By combining learning, collaboration, and community-building, the event offered international students a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of climate action in the Nordic region while exploring professional pathways in the sustainability sector.
