Vejen til Erfaring | The Way to Experience

Vejen til Erfaring | The Way to Experience aims at helping young people at different stages of life to get their first relevant job experience. Divided across two different tiers, the project both works with Danish students who look for a student job, and international students and graduates who struggle to validate their international experience in Denmark.

Project name: Vejen til Erfaring | The Way to Experience

Purpose: Vejen til Erfaring | The Way to Experience aims to help young people at different stages of life gain their first relevant job experience. The project is divided into two tracks and supports both Danish students searching for student jobs and international students and graduates who experience challenges in having their international education and work experience recognized in Denmark.

Conducted in partnership with Dansic and supported by Tuborgfondet, the project consists of an intensive four-day program where participants build competencies within key aspects of job searching, career planning, and professional visibility.

Project Description: Many students struggle to find study-relevant jobs. Data from Akademikerne and STAR.dk show that 82% of young people with relevant work experience secure employment within nine months of graduation, compared to only 49% of those without experience. By expanding a previous one-day event into a structured four-workshop program, Vejen til Erfaring provides participants with clarity, confidence, and practical tools to break the “no experience – no job” cycle and strengthen their job readiness.

The program includes:

Day 1 – Design Your Future: Creating a career roadmap and developing a personal strategy.

Day 2 – Bridging the Experience Gap: Translating academic and personal competencies into job readiness.

Day 3 – Maximizing Visibility on LinkedIn: Building a personal brand and understanding professional online networking etiquette.

Day 4 – Interview Preparation: Techniques and exercises to build confidence, prepare for common interview questions, and perform effectively in job interviews.

The project will be implemented in three editions, expected to take place in Copenhagen and Jylland. Further information about dates and locations will be available in the calendar section.
